I’m Heather, a full time mom and wife, and a part time interior decorating addict.

In July of 2014 we took a leap of faith and sold our picture perfect starter home and purchased an UGLY 1970 something POS. Why, you ask? Our starter home was, well, just that. It was nice and new and fine and all, but not somewhere we saw raising kids and growing old. Though the house that we bought was old and ugly, Trent convinced me that it had major potential. I know that he is a strong believer in “happy wife, happy life” so I knew he wouldn’t let me down :). Needless to say there have been trying moments during this adventure, but we are having a blast creating our perfect little slice of earth!

Update: We sold our beautiful “Ugly House” in 2017 and built a custom home (“Creekside Custom”) in our existing neighborhood. Please follow along as I decorate it, and then redecorate it, and repeat! I told you I was a decorating addict…

Updated update: We sold our beautiful “Creekside Custom” in 2019 and moved into a 400 square foot Keystone Montana fifth wheel travel trailer that was home to us while we built our “Creekside Keeper” (meaning we are NEVER MOVING AGAIN!!). We completed the house in January of 2020 right before the world (nearly) ended. I will slowly spend the next year or two showing you room by room, because that’s my style (AKA bad blogger).
